Several parts of this third edition have been totally rewritten, keeping up with the progress in various aspects of rehabilitation. A new chapter SPORTS REHABILITATIONhas been added . Chapters dealing with Paraplegia and Quadriplegia have been merged in to one chapter REHABILITATION OF SPINAL CORD INJURY. As far as possible, the use of appropriate technology and its relevance to the Indian scenario has been mentioned. There are many more photographs as compared to the previous edition, and many diagrams have been redrawn. An effort has been made to minimise errors in text and diagrams as compared to the previous edition. Many new topics like Biofeedback, management of spasticity, alternative forms of treatment have been included, keeping in mind the overall size and reach of the book.
